Hate to leave this winter wonderland...

Exterior of condo...notice the first story is gone...

View from the dining room...

Bedroom window...

As we were leaving this morning, I noticed this car in one of the parking lots.  It's a good indication of the amount of snow that we had overnight...

What a day!!  Another 18" of snow by morning...

Walking down the road to the lodge...notice there is no "side of the road'...

Some idea of the overnight snow....

A-MAZ-ING

Would love to post some pictures from our day in the 18 to 28 inches of fresh powder but it was too cold to ever remove my gloves to take out my camera.  Tomorrow they are expecting another 2 to 3 feet...what a weekend.

In the meantime, enjoy this shot of the wonderful condo we rented.

POW POW

Thank you snow Gods...getting ready to head to the lifts...

Friday on the Slopes

First day went well...Jim was finished at 12:30 after complaining about the wind and how his back hurt.  Ray quit at 2:30, another one down with back complaints.  The old man lasted another 45 minutes and finally came off the mountain for a drink around 3:15.  And I don't want any comments on my "helmet hair"...Jim insists it still looks better than a concussion.

They are still saying that by Monday we may have up to four feet of new snow...I'm beginning to doubt them.

Ahhh, Mammoth

After an uneventful yet quick drive (normally 4.5 hours, only 4 hours with Ray driving), we arrived in Mammoth.  The condo is great and just a few minutes walk to the lodge and lifts.  Now it's time to unpack...snowboard, CHECK...boots and gloves, CHECK...goggles and helmet, CHECK...computer, CHECK...computer power cord...hmmm, computer power cord...where is the f&$king computer power cord?  GODD@MMIT!!!!!  More to come....maybe....

Wishes Do Come True

The latest forecast for Mammoth just gets better and better...FRESH POW POW and LOTS OF IT.

"Thursday’s upper flow is pretty different with short wave ridging. This should make for a decent day before the next storm heads our way Friday. That storm is colder and should bring some 10 to possibly 20 inches with the main punch late in the day Friday into that night."

Mammoth 3/11

Thursday will be this year's second trip to Mammoth and hopefully this time we will get some fresh "pow-pow".

Last month the conditions were blue skies and warm temps...hopefully this weekend will bring lots of cloudy skies, cold temps and plenty of FRESH POWDER!
